Preview: Hospitality in the Park 2019

Hospital Records is a worldwide, leading drum and bass label known for its iconic DJs, feel-good music and epic events. 2019 has been another a big year for their events brand 

Hospitality, hosting a successful round two of their overseas festival in Croatia, Hospitality On The Beach a takeover at London’s 6000 capacity venue, Printworks in February and the Kings Of The Rollers Royal Rumble tour, that stretched across the UK this Summer.

On 21 September, the label returns to Finsbury Park for their renowned festival, Hospitality In The Park. In August, the label celebrated their fourth year hosting the all-day drum and bass extravaganza, by starting the festivities early with a warm-up party at London’s finest raving space, Studio 338. 


This year’s line-up is their biggest yet, boasting seven stages that showcase the strongest talent from all corners of the drum and bass scene, along with some 140, garage and hip-hop thrown in the mix. If you haven’t been before, check out the highlights from 2018:

Hospitality and Med School are on form this year, with their respective resident artists on the bill pushing the feel-good yet energetic vibes of drum and bass. Gracing the Hospitality stage are, Austrian neuro-duo Camo & Krooked, Japanese jazz-fusion selector Makoto, dancefloor powerhouse Metrik and label-boss London Elektricity. Med School will bring the soulful summer liquid, with the pioneer LTJ Bukem, as well as Etherwood,

Lenzman and Technimatic, accompanied by the hosts, Ruthless, Tempza and LX One.

After stellar events at Studio 338 this year, both Royal Rumble and Dubplate Style will be at Finsbury park hosting their own stages. Royal Rumble x Run sees the return of the heavy triple back-to-backs which blend style, genre and mixing technique. This includes Kings Of The Rollers, S.P.Y, Skeptical and Break and for the first time in London, Bou, Dutta and Stompz hosted by MC Bassman. S.P.Y.’s latest project, Dubplate Style brings back the sounds of old school drum and bass, featuring classic special sets from originators, Dillinja, DJ Die and Storm. Hosts include Stamnia MC, Dynamite and Moose.

Outlook festival are making a return this year with their own stage following their festival in Croatia just weeks before. Sound system culture and bass-heavy rhythms are guaranteed with DJ Marky, DBridge and Skeptical, with 140, garage and dub served up by Mala, 24Hr Garage Girls and Mungo’s Hifi featuring talented vocals of Eva Lazarus. Main Squeeze will bring the sounds of Hip-Hop from a selection of up and coming artists from the scene including Shortee Blitz, Mo Fingaz and Chris P Cuts.

The dark and heavy sounds of neurofunk and tech drum and bass will be provided by Critical Sound this year. Label regulars Enei, Halogenix, Fade Black, Mefjus and Makism will be making an appearance, as well as special guests Ed Rush and Bad Company for an explosive back to back set.
